** About GNU/Linux
GNU/Linux refers to the family of Unix-like computer operating systems
using the Linux kernel. Linux can be installed on a wide variety of
computer hardware, ranging from mobile phones, tablet computers and
video game consoles, to mainframes and supercomputers. GNU/Linux is a
leading server operating system, and runs the 10 fastest
supercomputers in the world. http://www.gnu.org/
There are several distributions of GNU/Linux available. A Linux
distribution is a member of the family of Unix-like operating systems
built on top of the Linux kernel. There are currently over six hundred
GNU/Linux distributions. Some of the commonly used distributions are;
